Why can’t you enter the throne room?

The Dungeon Key does not open the throne room. Rescue Shera with the first key, then obtain the Throne Room Key from the captain on the castle’s upper floor. Speaking with the captain can resolve the key objective without another required battle.

The chapter-4 route covers the hideout return and tunnel infiltration that lead here. Replaying Weapons Factory is not the solution to this separate castle lock.

Use Water on the emperor and the guards

Emperor Sosa, named Emperor of Zoldaad in encounter references, is weak to Water. The Wraith Praetorians share that weakness, so an available multi-target Water command can work on the whole formation.

Nichol provides useful Water access. Inspect the equipped command rather than assuming every Water skill targets all enemies. Keep a healer available before entering the throne room.

Control reinforcements and ailments

The emperor begins with guards and can call more. Clear enough escort pressure to keep recovery manageable, then continue advancing the emperor’s Stagger. Recheck targets when replacements arrive instead of repeating a queue designed for the previous field.

Poison and Blind can add pressure. Use the appropriate cure: restoring HP alone does not remove Poison, and a blinded physical attacker may need help before its intended finishing action.

Hell’s Pillar is the major Fire attack to watch. A reachable Stagger can cancel it; otherwise prepare magic protection and enough recovery for the action afterward. This guide does not promise a fixed round or a universal one-turn finish.

Does this victory unlock the airship immediately?

No. Finish the throne-room scenes and continue to the roof and Wild Rose sequence. Lid and Evan’s events lead into the Enterprise pursuit and Lazarov’s experiments. The emperor is an important story gate, but the chapter’s remaining confrontations still have to resolve before free airship travel opens.
