Choose the encounter you are facing

Encounter What the guide resolves
Siren Lightning access, Charm protection and the chapter-1 battle.
Alluvion Lightning, Prism Cores and the Water Shrine encounter.
Behemoth Wind/Light access, Meteor timing and healer availability.
Gilgamesh The optional chase, airship fight and Genji Armor finale.
Chaotic Darkness Hand order, the second form and reserve rotation.
Sephiroth Whirlpool Hollow access, counter stance, infusions and the timed finish.
Ultima Weapon Post-story unlock, changing modes and the major-attack response.
All 15 Cave Masters Region, named cave and reported entrance-level order.

Match the actual encounter. A story appearance, an optional recruitment fight and a later rematch can have different conditions even when they use a familiar enemy name.

Diagnose a failed attempt before rebuilding

  • You lose control of the party: identify the ailment and equip its prevention before retrying. Siren’s Charm is an early example.
  • Physical attacks produce counters: inspect the boss’s stance instead of repeating the same action. Sephiroth explicitly tests this.
  • A previously useful spell stops working: inspect the current mode or infusion and check its resistance again.
  • You reach a major attack without recovery ready: reserve the relevant defensive or healing action before the attack reaches the timeline.

These are diagnostic checks, not a universal elemental chart. Read the individual fight guide for the confirmed trigger and response. The combat guide explains Stagger and Resonance without importing rules from another Final Fantasy title.

Build the required options before levelling blindly

Use the Vision directory to locate the commands or role you are missing. Use Legendary Arms for equipment acquisition; a component in its Ancient state has not yet been restored. Check the actual commands and equipped passives immediately before entering the fight.
