Slagworm blocks the Sunioo medicine delivery; Iron Giant and Liquid Flame are the two separate Nameless Ruins guardians afterward. Their elements and defensive rules differ. One successful guardian fight only advances the ruins counter to one of two.
Collect the special medicine from northern Mysidia before leaving for Sunioo. The snowfield encounter and village delivery must resolve before Sakura leads you toward the ruins.
Slagworm: Wind and the Swallow warning
Use Wind and avoid Earth, which is ineffective. Jake’s available Wind commands can help; check the actual command list rather than assuming the physical and magical versions behave identically against every later enemy.
Swallow can remove an ally temporarily. If its warning appears and the gauge is close to breaking, use effective Stagger pressure. If the ally is swallowed, inspect the remaining actors and keep recovery available for the return instead of waiting for a command from someone who cannot act.
Iron Giant: Lightning magic
The Iron Giant guards one of the ruins’ rooms. Use Lightning magic and watch its physical counters. A Lightning spellblade is still a physical-category attack; matching the element alone does not mean you have avoided the counter condition.
Keep your caster and healer available instead of sending repeated normal attacks into high physical resistance. After winning, continue to the other guardian rather than searching the already cleared room for a second wave.
Liquid Flame: Water or Ice, never Fire
The second guardian is reached through the adjoining rooms. Fire can heal it, while Water and Ice are useful. It also counters physical hits and can put Reflect on itself.
Inspect the active protection before casting reflected Black Magic. Remove Reflect with an available effect such as Dispel or Magicide, or use a verified command category that is not reflected. Do not assume every blue Water icon is the same kind of action.
What comes after the 2/2 objective?
Follow the opened route and the first Tellus confrontation. That battle is interrupted by the story; the Tellus guide separates it from the real closing fight. The chapter-5 route then leads through Arcane Library and both visits to Fina’s Psyche.
