Which element works against Rukh?

Use Wind; Earth is ineffective. Rukh waits in its Olderion cave with an entrance recommendation of level 26. Its own Wind magic does not make Wind a bad offensive choice: the enemy’s attack element and its defensive affinity are separate information.

Bring a learned Wind command, party healing, magic protection and a way to recover from Petrify. A later Jake formation is one option; players arriving earlier should use the Wind access they actually have rather than assume Jake has joined.

Break through its defenses

  1. Keep the party healthy before the next enemy action. Cyclone threatens everyone, while other Wind spells can concentrate several hits on one ally.
  2. Apply Shell or another available magic-defense option.
  3. Watch for Mighty Guard and Scatter Feathers. Defense and evasion buffs can waste a planned damage window; remove the relevant buff when your formation can.
  4. Continue Wind pressure and try to reach Stagger before Cyclone resolves. If the break is out of reach, defend and plan the following heal.

If an ally becomes petrified

Use a suitable cure through an ally who is still able to act. A preventive barrier can be useful before Petrifying Gaze, but it is not a permanent promise of immunity. Keep the healer’s protection under review after other attacks consume it.

Avoid repeating an Earth command because its displayed base damage looks high. Change the element, confirm the enemy response, then resume your offensive plan. The victory contributes to the one, five and fifteen master objectives.
