In chapter 7, check the inn area of Gaberada, the Undertown in Gronoa. The witnesses there begin The Twin Titleholders. Recruiting Lasswell in chapter 1 is a different story event.
Which island and which cave?
The replacement-shell objective sends you to an island near Olderion. Follow the active quest marker for the adamandelion encounter rather than choosing an unrelated Cave Master. Return to Gaberada with the shell before travelling to Lost Cave.
Lost Cave is north of Grandshelt Castle. It is the last stop of this personal quest. Finishing the island fight alone leaves the story unfinished; the elder’s conversation and the cave scene still matter.
What does completing it give you?
The recorded rewards are Crest of Criticality and an attribute bonus for Lasswell. This page does not claim a tested optimal build or a complete list of his level-up skills. Use the equipment acquisition guide when your immediate problem is finding a weapon component.
Check a missing quest marker
Confirm that you have reached chapter 7 and that the correct quest is selected. If the log still names the witnesses, revisit the Gaberada start instead of repeatedly fighting island enemies. If it names Lost Cave, the remaining task is the final scene there.
Once the log confirms completion, record the personal-substory objective in the trophy tracker.
