Complete the tower and Sakura’s memory scenes. Return to the library entry tome afterward; the first visit alone does not open the complete route.

The first visit cannot finish the whole memory route. Follow its scenes, leave through the book and complete Tower of Mysidia before entering again. The missing progression condition is the tower’s memory event, rather than an undiscovered switch beside the gate.
The entry tome is in Arcane Library’s Forbidden Text Wing. If you cannot reach it, complete the five haunted-book encounters and teleporter sequence first.
First visit: follow the scenes, then leave
Fina leaves the active party during this visit. There are no battles in this first section, so her absence is initially a story condition rather than evidence that your formation is broken.
Follow the western path and its scenes. Return toward the starting area and gate, visit the cliff to the east and let those events finish. Use the open book to return to the library when the objective sends you back to the real world.
Complete Tower of Mysidia
Travel to the tower on the western side of Mysidia’s continent and complete the summit sequence with Sakura. Return to the entry tome afterward for the second visit.
Use the objective log to check whether the tower event actually finished. Repeatedly entering the book before completing that sequence does not satisfy the gate condition.
Second visit: forest, camps and the gate
Battles now occur, and Fina is still unavailable. Reassign healing to an available character before advancing. Equipping a Vision is only useful if the healing command is also accessible in that character’s current setup.
- Follow the eastern route into the forest, then continue north toward the objective.
- Defeat Malboro at the marked encounter and proceed through the next memory areas.
- Follow the camp scenes. At the Aldorian camp, finish the required conversations with the Sworn Eight before returning to the gate.
- Enter the newly available battlefield route and interact with the flowers as you advance.
- Defeat Dark Fina, then Tellus. Return to Sakura’s house for the chapter’s concluding scenes.
Prepare for the two encounters
| Encounter | Preparation to make before advancing |
|---|---|
| Dark Fina | Water and Light access; an available healer; watch the Stagger warning. |
| Tellus | Wind access; do not carry the previous enemy’s elemental plan into every fight. |
Restore resources between major encounters whenever the game gives you access to a recovery point. A healer who was equipped but removed from the active party cannot solve a recovery shortage during the memory battles.
Can you return for missed pickups?
The reviewed walkthrough and collection references describe later return access. Use the same library entry book for cleanup rather than treating every battlefield pickup as permanently lost. The shard checklist lists the relevant landmarks; this page does not replace those individual pickup directions with invented map coordinates.
