Bring the Ancient Greatsword to its pedestal in the Chamber of Arms. The standard trial restores Ragnarok. The component comes from Fledgling Battle 3 in the Colosseum; see the component directory before traveling to the chamber.
Prepare physical Ice or Wind, Lightning for the later phase, magic protection and healing that works with your formation’s current status effects.
Why do spells bounce back in the opening?
Alpherg’s opening form has Reflect, and Reflectga can also affect party members. Use physical Ice or Wind attacks for the opening instead of repeatedly casting reflected damage spells. Its forms absorb Water, so a Water command is not an alternative way through the defense.
Lordly Robes is a later preparation option for a caster because its effect can bypass Reflect. It is the reward from Shaula, not equipment you should assume everyone owns before their first trial.
Switch plans when the form changes
- Keep effective physical pressure on the opening form while maintaining recovery.
- At the transition, inspect the new target and switch to Lightning. The later sequence contains successive bodies, so do not treat the first transition as the reward screen.
- Preserve protection for heavy physical warnings and the later Water breath. Water resistance on the party does not mean using Water offensively.
- Recheck reflected statuses on allies before choosing support commands; the compared evidence does not establish every interaction of reflected healing.
The level-75 ultimate trial awards Ragnarok+. Prepare again for that stronger encounter; this guide does not promise that the standard trial’s damage or turn schedule carries over.
