Why prepare revival as well as healing?

Catacumba uses Doom and other death-related pressure. Restoring HP alone does not solve a running death countdown. Its Gronoa cave recommends level 54; Fire and Light are effective. Prepare a usable revival action and Reraise if your current learned abilities provide it.

Fina can help with Light and support, but avoid making the whole formation depend on her being unaffected. Keep items or another available recovery user for emergencies.

Handle the opening and warnings

  1. Enter healed and establish ailment protection. Its trait reports stronger attacks more frequently at high HP, so do not spend an unprepared opening treating the boss as passive.
  2. Apply Fire or Light pressure while preserving recovery.
  3. Watch Disaster, which can spread several control ailments and Doom across the party. Stagger the warning if practical; otherwise repair the affected support roles first.
  4. Respond immediately to Bone Toss. It removes almost all of one target’s current HP; that ally needs protection or healing before the follow-up.

What to do when Doom is already active

Check the remaining countdown and prepare revival or an available Reraise rather than repeatedly healing a character whose problem is not low HP. Do not assume a generic ailment cure removes every death-related condition.

Keep physical protection relevant to the follow-up attacks, and avoid a damage-only turn after Disaster has disabled multiple allies. The next Gronoa master, Necromonarch, has a different counter rule despite sharing Fire and Light weaknesses.
