This is the chapter-6 fight at Rugged Mountain Pass. Use Dark; Light is resisted. Lux’s later story assistance inside Crystal Tower is not another ordinary recruitment or boss objective.
Prepare an available Dark damage source before the mountain endpoint. Sakura or Archwitch Fina can provide relevant commands when unlocked and equipped. A character illustration or role label does not prove every command is available at your present level.
Keep the healer’s role separate from the enemy’s element
Fina can remain useful for recovery even though Lux resists offensive Light. Do not remove your working healer merely because her usual Light attack is the wrong damage choice here.
Inspect equipment that changes attack elements as well. A powerful attack that has become Light can be less useful against this particular enemy than an otherwise modest effective command.
Respond to Lux’s self-buffs
Lux can apply defensive, offensive and speed buffs, including Reflect. Read the active effects before casting Black Magic or assuming the previous damage result still applies.
Use an available buff-removal option whose category works through the current protection. The dedicated guide identifies Sakura’s Magicide as useful against these effects. Check that the command is actually equipped rather than assuming any character can remove Reflect automatically.
Watch the two large attacks
Luminant Purifier threatens the party; Dawn of Judgment threatens an individual target. Work toward Stagger while preserving enough recovery for the relevant target pattern. If a warning cannot be interrupted in time, protect and stabilize rather than spending every remaining action on damage.
After the victory, continue through the world-map and Duggle objectives toward Gronoa Shrine. Elfdrit asks for Fire or Light, so change the damage plan again. The chapter-6 route connects both encounters to the later Paladin trials.
