Sol’s full-party Crystal Tower fight and Rain’s later solo confrontation are different encounters. The first comes after Behemoth and before the Chaotic Darkness finale. The later duel cannot use a recovery plan that depends on the rest of the party.
Make a manual save before the final teleporter and inspect Rain individually as well as the active and reserve teams.
Use Dark on Sol and keep buffs deliberate
Sol is weak to Dark. Sakura and Archwitch Fina can supply Dark commands when available. The Demon’s Ring from Umbra is another equipment option that changes eligible non-elemental physical attacks to Dark; inspect the actual command and effect before relying on it.
Sol responds to widespread party buffs. Apply the support you need rather than filling every slot automatically. When his behavior changes, check active effects and the next warning instead of treating the response as random damage.
Dark Bahamut requires a different element
When Dark Bahamut is summoned, switch the relevant target plan to Light and watch its Megaflare countdown. Dark is Sol’s weakness, not the universal answer to both enemies.
Keep recovery ready if the countdown cannot be interrupted in time. A Stagger can help stop the threatening action when reachable; this guide does not promise that any current gauge can be broken in one round.
Dante and summoned allies also appear in the encounter references. Read the actual selected target rather than equating every named enemy in Crystal Tower with another separate story boss.
Time Unwound, Ultima and the next encounter
Time Unwound affects action pressure, while Ultima threatens heavy damage. Watch the current warning and plan an achievable Stagger or defensive response. Preserve a working healer instead of spending its last safe action merely because Sol is nearly defeated.
After the party victory, continue to Chaotic Darkness and its Last Resonance transition. The chapter-8 route explains reserve preparation and the point of no return.
Rain’s later solo confrontation
Give Rain his own usable Dark option and recovery before entering the finale. An appropriate Vision or the Demon’s Ring can provide an option, depending on what you obtained. Skills on Sakura or Archwitch Fina do not transfer to Rain simply because they were in the previous party.
Follow the duel’s story conclusion without importing Sol’s earlier full-party statistics or action sequence.
