No. It is the battle during the cargo train pursuit after the shipyard escape. Lever 16 advances the earlier elevator objective; it is not an attack command or a way to disable Adrastea from inside this fight.
Use the Mobliz route if you are still stopped at the numbered controls. Once the train leaves, focus on the pursuing machine and its warning.
What attacks work?
Adrastea is weak to Lightning and Water. Check which available characters have those commands and keep at least one usable recovery option. Cloud can provide relevant spellblade commands when equipped; Lid supplies the party’s machinery context, but her Earth plan from Liquid Thunder is not the element this encounter asks for.
Do not spend the entire escape on optional Guardian patrols and arrive with no resources for the pursuit. A manual save before the timed sequence gives you a sensible recovery point if the earlier route depleted the party.
Respond to Wave Cannon
The charging warning signals the major attack. Read the action order and concentrate effective pressure on the machine rather than distributing actions among unrelated plans.
- If the remaining gauge can be broken before the charge resolves, commit the actions needed for that Stagger.
- If it cannot, protect and recover the party so the next opportunity remains usable.
- After a heavy single-target hit, check the injured ally before spending another recovery character’s action on damage.
Shell is useful magic protection. It supplements the attempt; it does not make the charge irrelevant or guarantee survival at every difficulty.
What happens after the chase?
Complete the train and crash scenes, return through the Dwarven Forge repair objective and proceed to Wind Shrine. Prepare Ice for Aether. The chapter-2 route connects those stages without treating the escape train as a wrong turn.
