How do you unlock the ultimate trials?

Clear the matching Lv.50 trial, then reach Lv.70 with the relevant character. For a weapon trial, that is the character who can use its weapon. For the three armour trials and the accessory trial, the condition is Rain Lv.70. Return to the same Chamber of Arms pedestal and choose its Lv.75 challenge.

The Chamber of Arms is on a small island northwest of Dirnado, accessible with the Enterprise. If you have not restored the normal arm, use the Ancient component and standard trial guide first. Finding a component alone does not complete its first trial.

A Lv.70 unlock is an access condition, not a promise that your build is ready. You may form a party for the guardian’s mechanics; the character responsible for unlocking a trial does not dictate an entire four-person formation.

What does the higher trial change?

A successful rematch awards the enhanced + version of that guardian’s arm. The eight weapon upgrades raise the damage cap to 99,999; this is a ceiling, not guaranteed damage per action. The three armour pieces and Gold Hairpin are equipment upgrades, not eight additional damage-cap weapons.

The guardian’s forms and elemental decisions still matter, with more demanding HP and Stagger gauges. Some attacks also change: Aldhafera brings Paralysis pressure and later Ultima, while Shaula can use Calamity and Ferocious Strike from the first ultimate form. Each existing guardian page now contains its own Lv.75 response plan.

Prepare a formation before choosing a reward

  1. Cover every required phase. Alhena and Shaula need physical and magic options; Nunki requires repeated element changes. Check equipped commands and their attack types before committing.
  2. Protect recovery. A healer stopped by Paralysis, Silence, Charm or Petrify can collapse an otherwise strong formation. Give another ally a practical way to cure or revive.
  3. Reserve MP and items. Longer fights expose resource gaps. Vindemiatrix specifically punishes careless casting resources; keep an ally able to restore MP.
  4. Plan the warned attack. Decide whether a complete Stagger is reachable, and leave recovery for a failed interrupt. Fixed turn counts from another difficulty are not a substitute for the current gauge and warning.

Which enhanced arm should you pursue first?

Choose a weapon for an attacker whose commands and Vision mastery are already useful to your party, then check whether you can handle that guardian’s later phases. Starting with Rain’s Ragnarok+ is reasonable for a developed Rain, but it is not a required first clear. A party built around Jake, Nichol or another caster may gain more from a different reward.

Existing ordinary rewards can help with preparation. For example, Lordly Robes can support a Reflect-piercing caster against Alpherg. That does not make Shaula’s ultimate rematch a mandatory prerequisite for Ragnarok+.

Are all twelve ultimate clears required for the trophy?

The Legendary Arms restoration objective uses the twelve ordinary restored arms. The enhanced rematches are a separate equipment goal. Keep a normal restoration, a + reward and a trophy check as separate completion states; do not add twelve unnecessary ultimate clears to the platinum roadmap.
