What is Magicite used for in Final Fantasy Resonance?

Magicite awakens Visions. The three material sizes form a progression: Magicite Shard for the first awakening, Magicite for the second and Magicite Cryst for the third. Awakening expands a Vision’s available kit; it is separate from the character-specific Mastery Rank earned through MRP.

Do not spend a higher-looking material on the wrong assumption that it replaces a lower tier. Check the Vision’s current awakening panel and the named item it requests.

Where does Magicite come from?

The fixed source groups are dungeon chests, side quests, Cave Masters, first-time Colosseum rewards, Tablet Shard thresholds, upgraded radar treasures and a late Merchant Ship purchase. The visual checklist below separates them by tier so that an early-game Shard route is not mixed with a late-game Cryst route.

The Palace thresholds and Colosseum battle numbers are reused from the site’s structured reward records, rather than maintained as a second disconnected list.

Which Cave Masters award each tier?

The first three Cave Masters award Magicite Shards, the next six award Magicite, and the final six award Magicite Crysts. That creates a natural difficulty ladder, but the reward name alone does not prove your party is ready for the fight. Use the 15 Cave Masters hub for the matching location, level and battle page.

Can you buy Magicite?

Current completion references report that the Colosseum shop eventually sells all three tiers after obtaining the relevant league proof. A separate fixed source lists one Magicite Cryst from the Merchant Ship for 50,000 gil starting in Chapter 7. Treat purchases as a late gap-filler: collect the guaranteed chest, quest and first-time rewards you can reach before spending large amounts of gil.

If you need currency for the final purchase, use the gil farming targets and verify the result-screen Overkill bonus. Do not confuse Magicite with MRP; awakening the Vision does not automatically raise that character’s Mastery Rank.

What should you awaken first?

Awaken the Vision that solves an immediate role or encounter problem, then confirm the next command in the 505-skill Vision database. Protection, recovery and a needed element usually have a clearer practical value than awakening every Vision evenly.
